Get Fish Slapped is a marketing agency in Florida whose brand had outgrown its original look. Owner Tracy needed a fresh pair of eyes on both the brand and the website. They needed something that showcased their work better and connected with their audience more effectively. What she got was a full brand upgrade, an ADA-remediated site, and a UX overhaul that closed the gaps her previous site left open.
The original site had a palette that caused color contrast ratio failures; this is a legal and accessibility liability. Navigation didn't guide users through the site logically. Key information was missing, leaving potential clients with unanswered questions. The brand itself felt outdated relative to where Get Fish Slapped had grown as an agency.
The process began with a full evaluation of the existing brand and website: current branding trends relative to their audience, user frustrations likely causing bounce rate increases, and accessibility issues that could expose them to legal risk. The color palette was the first priority: upgraded for accessibility compliance and given a brighter, more modern feel. The logo icon was simplified for better readability and the brand rounded out with patterns and animated icons.
The redesign improved conversion rate and helped Get Fish Slapped better connect with their target audience. Tracy was stoked with the results and signed up for an ongoing retainer and continues to white label projects with AMUX Designs.
